Elegant Table Runner

This is my christmas present for a lovely neighbour, who recieved it yesterday. She loved it! Her kitchen is in blues so it will fit in very nicely, she also has lovely morning/afternoon teas and luncheons so I hope she will get good use of it.

It was really easy to piece and quilt. I used a gold thread (rasant) and quilted in the ditch and both sides of the gold borders, yes even the curvy one! I quilted and bound it the night before she got it.

Tonight (if I ever get dinner on the table that is!) I am binding a second runner but it is in different colours; more pink and a tanny cream.

It's lovely. I'm not surprised she was delighted with it.
