Cardigans and Stitching

This afternoon I finished the stitchery part of the Birdsong Jewellry Box that was one of the GDITC projects by Anni Downs of Hatched and Patched. I so enjoyed stitching this and using the 3-strand Valdani threads; it was sooo good not to have to separate threads!

I couldn't afford this beautiful cardigan from the Woollen Mill at Nundle so I talked Aunty into purchasing it.....she was able to get 20% off (still out of my price range) which was great!
You can't feel it in the picture but it feels so beautiful and soft....
and the back is just as nice!
If anyone knows of this pattern (or very similar) please let me know; you never know - Aunty just might knit me one.....LOL

And just to make things clear out there in blogland, she IS my aunt, and NO she isn't that old; about 12yrs older than me and I am early 30s.
DO pop over and visit, we had alot of fun writing her profile....
I have joined in with the Stitch-A-Long to make Anni Downs 'A Gardners Journal' quilt. It has been sadly sitting, half cut out, in a box for too long for such a beautiful quilt. I am so pleased to be working on this FINALLY! It looks like lots of other stitchers have joined in already!

I am pondering over using my Cotton Blossoms jellyroll and some yardage to work on Jelly Roll Sampler Quilt A Long 2010 by Moose on the Porch Quilts.
I think I will decide once I have my BOMs up to date....they got left undone while I pieced those quilt tops to take to Nundle.

Can't help you with the cardigan pattern, hope Aunty whips one up for you.
Love that you are going to join the stitching too.
I'm going to be cheering from the sidelines.
"Give me a B.O.M" LOL!

I am tempted with the Jelly Roll Sampler Quilt A Long but it may have to wait just a little while too. Cardy looks gorgeous and i love the colours. I am also liking the Cotton Blooms fabric. Yes I think the Stitch Along will be loads of fun. xxx

I'll watch everyone's progress on the Gardener's Journal with interest. One of our stitching group has just finished all the stitcheries. I'll just admire.
