Gone

My sewing machines have gone on a long trip to be serviced. They were delivered to Mr Busy's work mate and his wife about five weeks ago and they took them to Newcastle to the sewing shop I bought one from. It will probably be another month before they get home again, waiting on parts, and even though I haven't much  time to stitch at present with the baby;  I am missing them. Mmmm maybe now is the time to take Mr Busy to show him the new machine I want....LOL!

We bought these guys back in June to guard our sheep flock. The younger children call them 'pacca's' so when we went to name them Mr Busy suggested Kerry and James. Just to be clear, they are named after two famous Australian's, father and son, Kerry Packer and James Packer.

Above is a gorgeous baby goat born four days ago. Her mum is British Alpine and her dad is Melaan.

This is one of the twins born 8 days ago; same breeds for the parents and the twin is identical except for the sex; they are male/female twins. So gorgeous!

Baby piglets born yesterday morning. There were 9 born and all except this one are black. Their mum is a Berkshire, and such a lovely mum too - you can pick the piggies up and they can squeal their heads off and she ignores you. The Wessex Saddleback sow is due soon too.
I managed to do a little stitching before the sewing machine went on a trip. This was posted today (thanks mum) to De and it is a tea towel bag swap for my online Friends in Stitching group. I wrapped De's tea towel bag in a tea towel, hope she likes it!

Wow Bec lots happening on your farm - all those babies are way too cute. I will have to show Leah the baby goats (thats what she wants next). We got two more calves on the weekend so lots of bottle feeding happening here. xxx

Spring has certainly sprung at your place with all the baby animals. I'm sure you will find something to stitch while your machines are on holidays. It's nice to see you back blogging.

Happy to see you back! It's hard to be without a machine, hope yours get back to you soon. So interesting I wouldn't have thought of alpacas as guard animals.
