FiS Leannes House Swap

I am involved with an online stitching group; Friends in Stitching; and we recently had a 'Leanne's House' swap. You could make anything to swap so long as it was a pattern by 'Leannes House'.

The lovely Lynda made me a much needed block keeper and used Leannes stitchery from the recent tablerunner pattern for the front. It's just beautiful!

I made for the lovely Helen and chose to make 'Leanne's Flower Bag' in a pink fabric with the stitching in a two darker pinks (hard to tell). I enjoyed making this bag and may make another in the future... this is a photo from Helen as I missed taking a picture of the bag prior to sending it (it was that mad week before I went to Nundle) and her grand-daughter June is holding the bag.

It was a great swap to be in and all the swap gifts were fantastic!
The group is currently doing a bag swap that has to have either a stitchery or needleturn applique AND some sort of trim. I finished the stitchery for mine last night and hope to have the bag finished over the next few days, but won't be able to show you until the end of May. It's funny, I thought the stitchery I had chosen was going to take me a week of nighttime stitching but I have finished it in a much shorter time; enjoyed it immensely too!

You must be thrilled with your block keeper and I'm sure Helen is also thrilled with her bag. Leanne's designs are all so gorgeous.

First time visiting your blog, lovely. One of my favorites are Leanne. I have made lots of this and that. Last October she and Gail visited Norway and I went to a weekend course with them. Still UFOs on some of the project. Now I am looking forward to stitching from the Garden Journal.
Happy Quilting to you.
