Pincushion Madness

The finished hexagon needlecase that I showed partially completed last week, or was it the week before???
Inside, with a pocket and wool for safe keeping needles.

The back with my little quirk, I stitched the test iron-on piece and put it on the back.

I finished ALL of these last night! They all need stitching closed and the buttons putting on; the ricrac on for one. I had been putting this off for ages and surprised myself with how little time it took to finish them. These are in my Christmas Stash too.

This is a Melly & Me pincushion that I finished a while back but hadn't blogged. I found dealing with the slippery ribbon awkward and ended up with uneven sides, I am sure a little more patience on my behalf would have been rewarded with even sides.....
Also for the Christmas Stash. Gosh I hope every one on my Christmas list likes pincushions as it appears that is predominatly what my Christmas gifts are!!!!
(They aren't all pincushions.)
The past two days here have been almost spring like, the nights too. Next month is spring but I am not holding my breath as we usually have a warm period August/September then it is cold again for a short while. One of the children have been asking about swimming...... I don't think so! At least not yet.

I made my Melly pincushion up but didn't use the satin ribbin. I still got uneven sides. However I made a second one, which you will see in a blog post soon, and it was easier. However I had trouble with the zip part. My Leanne's pincushions are only half done, as I have misplaced the embroidery thread. I am working on the Janelle Wind one now and will get back to the others again soon.
Funny, my kids asked to swim yesterday too - but we know there will still be cooler weather to return so said no.

Wow what a lot of posts to read! I'm so impressed that you're getting so far ahead with your christmas presents. I don't have many to make, but will be making a start soon. I'm thinking of placemats and pincushions.

All of the pin cushions are just so sweet Bec, I most especially like the round one with blue ric rac and flowers at the front ... its really gorgeous! You have been one busy girl, it must feel good to have finished all these in one sitting I usually have the 'almost finished' things waiting the longest.

Bec your pincushions are just gorgeous ... I'm sure anyone on your Chrissy list would be chuffed to bits to receive one :o).
Still loving that needle case, might have to make myself one (or two) of those ;o).
Hugs,
Joy :o)

You've been a very busy girl with your sewing and cleaning up your house. Can I borrow you before my wedding? I'll need motivation and help.....

I just bought that Melly and Me pincushion pattern, Bec, so any advice you can give me I'd appreciate! Perhaps I should not use satin ribbon? Would that work do you think?
I love all your pincushions, so gorgeous!

Beautiful pincushions! That's so funny about hoping everyone likes them. I was getting ready to make a pincushion for friend for b-day and suddenly realized it would like the 4th one I'd given her and I was thinking the same thing. Just because I don't think one can ever have too many pincushions or quilts doesn't mean everyone does lol! I'm sure your peeps will love them :)

How embarassing! I have all those patterns, and kits to make up and have not even started any of them! Maybe after my trip things might calm down a little and I can get some 'me' stuff done :p Yours looks great
